My Muxtape →

I held off on making my own Muxtape for a while. Undoubtably a good idea, but while they’re fun to make, I wondered if people would actually listen to them — mixtapes always seemed like something that was more fun to make than it was to listen to — but it seems like people are listening to them.

So here’s mine. It’s not the best mixtape ever — I’ve paid little attention to track order, and songs that work together, and so on — but it’s a collection of tracks I love. Go crazy.

Guilty

Sometimes I click on someone’s blog because they look hot in their avatar.

Seconded. I’ve actually found some cool people that way.

Holy Fuck Daytrotter Session →

Holy Fuck did a Daytrotter session (that includes one previously unreleased song). I haven’t listened to it yet, but I already know it’s the best thing I’ve heard all week. I’d bet the same is true for you too. Ok, I lied, the first track is about halfway through, and it’s blowing my mind. Check this out right now.

DINO * RUN →

The gist of the game is this: you’re a dinosaur, an asteroid has hit the Earth, and you have to outrun the devastation. Not only is there a fun single-player mode, but there’s a multi-player mode as well.

Excellent game, and surprisingly involving.

Tumblize

Wow, lots of buzz around Tumblize today. Those guys that, for “just $999” will supply you with a brand new theme for your tumblelog. No, seriously, it’s just $999. For a one-page design. Oh, and it was something like $500 last time I looked, which means I must really have underestimated how stupid people are.

Obviously, these guys are catering to rich, stupid people. Since a) no one except someone really stupid pays $999 for a one-page design, and b) except rich people with more money than sense.

That said, these guys are pros. Know how I know that? Look at this, from one of the tumblelogs they take credit for:

And here it is in Internet Explorer, too:

Somehow, even worse.

Do yourself a favour and ask Bill Israel or Cameron, whose charges start at around $200 and $400 respectively, instead. (Or even me, for $200.) You know, unless you want to get ripped off.

Oh, and guys, again, it’s a tumblelog, not a Tumblr. The same way my photos on Flickr are just photos, not Flickrs.
