"Bad spell-checking causes name changes in Pa. yearbook" →

Automatic spellchecking strikes again.

Middletown Area High School’s yearbook listed Max Zupanovic as “Max Supernova,” Kathy Carbaugh as “Kathy Airbag” and Alessandra Ippolito as “Alexandria Impolite,” just to name a few.

“It was kind of funny, but kind of rude at the same time,” Ippolito said.

Not rude. Impolite. Get it? And Max Supernova has nothing to feel bad about; that’s an awesome name. Though I don’t know what I’m laughing at. It’s a matter of time before lazy spellchecking turns me into Dunlop-Wallets.
